These little treats are a childhood favourite of mine. We never made them at home and so I would have to wait until there was a council fair or school cake stall when I could purchase one with the 20c pocket money my parents would give me. How times have changed, and yes, I am referring to the amount of pocket money parents gave children in comparison to today! LOL

I know chocolate crackles are usually made for birthday parties and are a kids favourite but these are so quick to put together that I usually whip them up in the afternoon and have them as a little dessert snack after dinner. No more waiting to see if the kids have left a couple for us parents to enjoy because I make a batch of 10 or more (depending on the size of the muffin lining) and store them in an airtight container in the freezer. They last up 2 weeks! With kids school holidays coming up, this is a great activity for young children with a yummy treat and reward at the end! Enjoy x
