I have often written about food that inspired me or a product that I love, however these MAPLE-O BARS came about as a way of making my kids a pool side treat. I always have a variety of nut butters in my pantry and decided to combine this with Orgran's Wholegrain Buckwheat O's Maple Flavoured cereal. The result was addictive! So good! Definitely an easy, no bake recipe that can be stored in an air tight container for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy x

Cooling: 4 hours
2 cups Orgran Buckwheat O’s Maple Flavour Cereal
1 ½ tbs coconut oil
¾ cup desiccated coconut
¼ cup almond butter
¼ cup honey
Place almond butter, honey and coconut oil in a saucepan and melt over low heat. Allow to cool. In the meantime line 20cm x 10cm tray with baking paper.
In a large bowl combine all ingredients. Pour into baking tray. Press down firmly with the back of a spoon.
Place into the fridge for 4 hours. Slice and store in air tight container in fridge.
